OUR POLICIES
What You Need To Know
-
We understand that things come up unexpectedly from time to time, we’ve all been there.
However, we need our clients to understand and respect that our time is valuable to us, and to our other clients and their pets.
We require 24 hours notice to cancel or change your grooming appointment.
This notice gives us an opportunity to fill your appointment spot with another pet who needs grooming, and not lose valuable income we use to support our families with.
If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled, and 24 hours notice is not given, you will be required to pay 50% of the cost of your pet’s groom.
If a no show occurs, or an appointment is missed with no attempt to cancel or reschedule, you will be required to pay the full cost of your pet’s groom, and/or refused services in the future.
-
According to Ontario law, all dogs, cats and ferrets are required to be vaccinated for Rabies as soon as they are 3 months old. For this reason, our insurance company requires that all pets receiving our services be current on their Rabies vaccination. You may be required to provide proof of this prior to your pet’s appointment.
We strongly recommend that you speak with your veterinarian about what vaccines are recommended for your pet before visiting any pet care facility.

Regular brushing and upkeep on your pet is recommended on a regular basis at home. However, sometimes things can slip away from us, and brushing can be neglected which can lead to matted or overgrown undercoats.
Matted coats and overgrown undercoats can cause numerous health problems for your pet. Matted fur doesn’t allow for proper air circulation to the skin, which can cause hot spots, or bacterial and fungal infections. It’s also common for fleas, ticks and other parasites to be hiding underneath, which can cause further skin issues. Matted fur also pulls at the skin and binds, causing discomfort and often pain to your pet.
Your pet’s safety and well-being is our number one priority.
We take every precaution when working with matted or overgrown coats, but with matted fur being so tight and close to the skin, and potential underlying issues we can’t see, grooming a matted or over overgrown coat does become more difficult and the risk for accidents and/or injury is higher.
Some risks include clipper nicks, clipper rash, skin irritation and sometimes bruising.
In the rare scenario where an injury does occur while grooming your pet’s matted or overgrown coat, you will be informed right away, and if necessary referred to your own Veterinarian for guidance and possible treatment on the situation. This will be at your own expense.
If an underlying issue is discovered while grooming your matted or overgrown pet you will be informed right away and if necessary, referred to your own Veterinarian for guidance and possible treatment on the situation. This will be at your own expense.
The Groomers will not be held responsible for any grooming injury to pets with matted or overgrown coats. This also includes any after-grooming effects which could include, but are not limited to the following: itchiness, skin redness or self-inflicted irritations caused by excessive rubbing, scratching and/or shaking. Any and all Veterinary expenses incurred will be paid in full by the pet owner.
If matting is something you’re concerned about prior to your pets appointment, please feel free to give us a call and have a chat with one of our Groomers before hand.
We’re also happy to recommend the best tools and grooming schedule for your pet to avoid a matted or overgrown coat all together.

-
Payment is due upon the completion of each groom or service.
We accept cash, debit, Visa and Mastercard, ensuring a hassle-free process.
Gratuities are always graciously accepted as a token of appreciation for exceptional service.
-
We understand that life with pets can be unpredictable and that things can happen or come up just before an appointment that we didn’t plan for.
While we do our best to be as accommodating as possible, if your pet appears to be sick, injured, in pain or displaying behaviour that could put other pets, clients, themselves or our Groomers at risk, we may refuse to provide our services to your pet.
If you are unsure about your pets health condition or their behaviour, please give us a call and have a chat with one of our Groomers before your appointment, so we can decide together what the best option for your pet will be.
